Father, more loved by God than any saved sinner, yet God sacrificed His Son for the redemption of sinful people—something we can never understand. I have three sons, and I love each of them immeasurably, but the Father holds Jesus precious to an infinite degree. Despite the conflicting response the world has to Jesus, God sent His precious son to die on behalf of those who reject Him. Peter encourages us to hold Jesus as precious, to value Christ because our faith in Him will not result in disappointment.
